Eye as Camera

Well now isn't this a coincidence? Pixiq has put together an article on the human eye and the camera! Those of you who have taken my beginning class will possibly remember the lecture from the first day, and those currently taking the class here is some review for you (with much better illustrations I suspect! :p).

Steve McCurry, who brought Kodachrome to a new level of prominence with his National Geographic cover image Afghan Girl, gives his own take on the end of production and shares images that he shot using the last roll of Kodachrome ever produced. What if you had the last roll of an extinct film; what would you photograph? Celebrity? The Exotic? The Iconic? The Recognizable?

Each year SPE has an army of student volunteers that help put on the conference! Join our ranks and meet your peers from across the nation and get a break on registration too. In exchange for 8 hours of service during the conference SPE student volunteers will receive a $65 rebate on the cost of regular student registration.

Volunteers are required to attend a training session before the conference on Wednesday 4 - 6 pm or Wednesday 9 - 11 pm. A brief training session will be held Thursday morning (8 - 10 am) for those absolutely not able to attend a Wednesday training session.
